Would you prefer Superiority and Authority over HUMANITY?

Since Satyameva Jayate’s finale; Masculinity and Manhood is being discussed all over the place. Since I am a firm believer of “HEFORSHE” campaign introduced by UN, I tried to find the real definition of Manhood or Masculinity.
According to me;
“A man is a compassionate and sensitive person who exudes power in the form of: love towards each and everyone around him; he who is not ashamed of expressing his emotions because a man without emotions is just a crude human being.”
But what I learnt from this episode, has compelled me enough to express my views on current situation of human beings. “A man is considered a Man only if he shows Power & Authority through violent and criminal activities.” The most disturbing thought among all this is; a kid is pressurized since his upbringing, and conditioned to suppress his emotions, which results into violent outbursts.
In our society, a genuine culprit is our Upbringing, Environment and Tradition, instilled in a human being. When we can restrict our girls from choosing a wrong path, why can’t we deliver the same justice to our son? We should never wait for an influence or an incident, in order to change our fundamentalism. The problem here lies in our approach; we need to focus on ourselves rather than pointing out mistakes and incompetence of others.
Let’s change this Patriarchal idea i.e. “Men are the rulers” and follow the nature, which has never discriminated amongst human race. Men have been forced to act in a way since their childhood; through the way their parents behave, through burdening them with the notion of shame when a kid acts as a normal kid.
Let’s discard the notion of Power and Authority, just believe in equality and make your surrounding a wonderful place to live in. Let a kid grow as a human being, not a machine who is incapable of understanding and expressing any emotion except superiority and authority.
"It takes two to make changes, we need Men and Women to treat each other equal not a totally different entity."
